The Iznajar area is known as “The crossroads of Andalucia”, being that it borders the provinces of Malaga, Granada and Cordoba and has excellent motorway access; the coast and major cities being easily reached in about an hour. Antequera is around 30 minutes drive and Skiing in the Sierra Nevadas in just 1.50hrs away. Casa Las Eras and Iznajar is the ideal location for travel to the many cultural and tourist attractions within close proximity.

GRANADA

Alhambra Palaces

Listed under the World Heritage Sites, the Alhambra is indisputably the most well-known monument of the city and one of the most visited in Spain.
It has a defensive area, the Alcazaba, the Nasrid Palaces, named after the Dynasty of the Kingdom of Granada, and the Gardens of the Generalife.

Science Park – Parque de las Ciencias

The Granada Science Park is an interactive museum of covering 70,000 m2, located just minutes from the centre of Granada. It offers the widest variety of cultural and scientific temporary and permanent exhibitions in Europe – both indoor and out. Also with a butterfly park, viewing tower and planetarium. Great value for money!

CORDOBA

Mezquita – Great Mosque of Córdoba

Built during the period of Moorish occupation, it is one of the most splendid Islamic monuments in the western world. The Mezquita can be visited throughout the year . The approach is via the Patio de los Naranjos, a classic Islamic ablutions courtyard which preserves both its orange trees and fountains.

ANTEQUERA

El Torcal

El Torcal Natural Park Reserve is known for its unusual limestone rock formations. The park’s 17 square kilometres are recognised as some of the most beautiful and impressive limestone formations in Europe. The whole area was under sea until one hundred million years ago. There is a visitors centre, observatory and shop. You can also follow on of the recommended routes (of differing lengths) to explore the reserve.
